I ran across this article articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/a... and really liked it's simplicity yet relevance to keeping ourselves healthier. One of the biggest issues right now is the health care debate. If each of us really took the time to take better care of ourselves, I believe we would automatically solve the health care debate. It is a matter of supply vs demand. If less people are either sick (or going to the Dr Office for minor health inconveniences), then it would free up the Dr for those who really were needing his attention. They then would be able to spend more quality time with the patient, AND less patients would mean they would have to keep their prices lower to remain competitive so they could stay in business. Right now, they are so overwhelmed, there is no incentive to cut their prices. It's like the oil crisis we had a while ago. At any given time, the oil producers were able to raise their prices to whatever they want, and everyone would pay it due to we needed it. When the consumer reduced their use of the products that used that oil, it cut into the profits of the oil companies. Once demand dropped, they dropped their prices to intice consumers back to their products. Just my two cents worth.

Agreed whole-heartedly. If I had $20 for every time one of my friends went to the clinic for the basic flu or a small cut that's easily repaired with some First Aid know-how...

...well, I could buy plenty of videogames, that's for sure.
